This policy explains what personal information Connecting Intelligence LLC (“we”, “us”) collects through connectingintelligence.com, why, and the choices and rights you have. We keep it short because we collect very little.
Connecting Intelligence LLC, 2261 Market Street STE 74908, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. We are the “controller” of the personal information described here. For anything related to privacy, write to hello@connectingintelligence.com.
We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking tools on this website, and we do not set cookies.
You never have to give us personal information to read this website. Emailing us is voluntary; if you do not, we simply cannot reply.
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, we rely on our legitimate interests to run and secure the website and to reply to messages you send us, and on steps you request before entering into a contract when you ask about working with us.
Only with service providers that help us run the website and our email: GitHub, Inc. (website hosting via GitHub Pages) and Google LLC (email, via Google Workspace). They process the data on our behalf, under contracts that limit their use of it. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
We are based in the United States. If you contact us from the UK or Europe, your information will be processed in the US. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses offered by our providers.
We keep email correspondence for as long as needed for the conversation or working relationship, and delete it when it is no longer needed, unless we must keep it for legal or accounting reasons.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
These rights apply under US state privacy laws (such as those of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and others), the UK GDPR, and the EU GDPR. To use them, email hello@connectingintelligence.com. We will reply within the time the law requires (usually 30 to 45 days) and may need to confirm your identity first. You may use an authorised agent where the law allows. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision.
If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk). If you are in the EU, you can complain to your local data protection authority.
In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information, only from you and from your browser:
We use this information only for the purposes described above: to reply to you and to run and secure the website. We keep it only as long as described under “How long we keep it”. We have not sold or shared personal information in the past 12 months, we do not collect sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Because we do not sell or share personal information or use tracking, there is nothing for these signals to switch off. We honour them all the same.
We use reputable providers and reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date below.
